Double the memory
The most requested enhancement - higher memory capacity is now a reality - fit-PC Slim has 512MB RAM, while remaining faithful to the soldering on-board approach that ensures low power consumption and high reliability.
Upgradeable hard disk
Another much requested feature - upgrading the hard disk in fit-PC Slim is a matter of openning two screws, sliding out the old hard disk and sliding in the new one. Unlike the deeply buried hard disk of fit-PC 1.0. fit-PC Slim can be easily fitted with high capacity hard disk or SSD. You can now order fit-PC Slim without a hard disk to install your own.
Integrated WiFi
fit-PC Slim has built in 802.11b/g WiFi. fit-PC Slim can be easily installed anywhere at home or in the office without the hassle of cabling.
Additionally the WiFi in fit-PC Slim supports access point mode so fit-PC can be used as an intelligent wireless router.
USB ports
fit-PC Slim has 3 USB ports, two of them in front. Easily connect keyboard and mouse, thumb drive, camera external hard disk or CD-ROM with easily accessible USB ports without needing a hub.
Power button and Indicator LEDs
fit-PC Slim has a proper PC front-panel with tactile power button and indicator LEDs for power and Hard disk activity.
12V power supply
The power supply in fit-PC Slim is 12V and is 9V to 15V tolerant. This allows for easy connection to car battery and solar panels and increases reliability by having extra regulation within fit-PC Slim. fit-PC Slim is using a standard 3.5 power plug for easy connection to alternative power source. The new power adapter is smaller and has standard "kettle lead" IEC-C13 AC inlet.

fit-PC Slim Linux is shipped with preloaded Ubuntu 8.04 and Gentoo 2008.0 in dual boot mode.
Windows
fit-PC Slim XP is priced at $335 with Windows XP Home SP3 pre-installed, compared to $395 for fit-PC 1.0 with Windows XP.
